Information disclosure vulnerability in Mozilla Products - CVE-2014-8642 (Mac OS X)ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:23577 | Date: (C)2015-02-23 (M)2023-12-07 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: macos |
The host is installed with Mozilla Firefox before 35.0 or SeaMonkey before 2.32 and is prone to an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present in the applications, which do not consider the id-pkix-ocsp-nocheck extension in deciding whether to trust an OCSP responder. Successful exploitation allows attackers to obtain sensitive information by sniffing the network during a session in which there was an incorrect decision to accept a compromised and revoked certificate.
