The host is installed with PostgreSQL 11.x before 11.22, 12.x before 12.17, 13.x before 13.13, 14.x before 14.10, 15.x before 15.5, or 16.x before 16.1 and is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application which fails to properly handle the pg_cancel_backend role that signals background workers, including the logical replication launcher, autovacuum workers, and the autovacuum launcher. Successful exploitation allows a remote high privileged attacker to launch a denial of service (DoS) attack.
