Denial of service vulnerability in OpenSSL - CVE-2023-5678

ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:94348Date: (C)2023-11-08   (M)2024-02-26
Class: VULNERABILITYFamily: windows

The host is installed with OpenSSL 1.0.2 before 1.0.2zj, 1.1.1 before 1.1.1x, 3.0.0 before 3.0.13 or 3.1.0 before 3.1.5 and is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle the functions DH_generate_key(), DH_check_pub_key(), DH_check_pub_key_ex(), or EVP_PKEY_public_check(). Successful exploitation allows attackers to generate an X9.42 DH key that may experience long delays and this will lead to a denial of service.
