Memory safety bugs fixed in Firefox 108, Firefox ESR 102.6 and Thunderbird 102.6 - CVE-2022-46878ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:86264 | Date: (C)2023-01-06 (M)2023-11-19 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: macos |
Mozilla Firefox 108, Mozilla Firefox ESR 102.6 and Mozilla Thunderbird 102.6 : Mozilla developers Randell Jesup, Valentin Gosu, Olli Pettay, and the Mozilla Fuzzing Team reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 107 and Firefox ESR 102.5. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code.
