Information disclosure vulnerability in Apache Tomcat via inconsistent HTTP request headersID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:20835 | Date: (C)2014-08-18 (M)2023-12-14 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with Apache Tomcat 6.0.x before 6.0.39, 7.x before 7.0.47 or 8.x before 8.0.0-RC3 and is prone to information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which does not properly handle certain inconsistent HTTP request headers. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to trigger incorrect identification of a request's length and conduct request-smuggling attacks via (1) multiple Content-Length headers or (2) a Content-Length header and a "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" header.
