The host is missing an important security update according to advisory, VMSA-2024-0011 and prone to an out-of-bounds read/write vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle issues in the storage controllers. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker with access to a virtual machine with storage controllers enabled to exploit this issue to create a denial of service condition or execute code on the hypervisor from a virtual machine in conjunction with other issues.
