exacqVision ESM Privilege Escalation Vulnerability. exacqVision ESM is prone to a privilege escalation vulnerability. The flaw exits because the authenticated users group has the permissions to modify the ESM folders/files by default. An attacker with low privileges can rename the enterprisesystemmanager.exe file and replace it with malicious file which executes on restart of the computer leading to a connection with an attacking computer with system level privileges due to the service running as Local System.
