Information disclosure vulnerability in Docker Desktop - CVE-2024-21626ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:97423 | Date: (C)2024-02-02 (M)2024-05-06 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with Docker Desktop before 4.27.1 and is prone to an information disclosure vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle an internal file descriptor leak issue in runc. Successful exploitation allows attackers to gain access to the host filesystem by causing a newly-spawned container process (from runc exec) to have a working directory in the host filesystem namespace, or by tricking a user to run a malicious image.
