Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: windows |
The host is installed with OpenSSL 1.1.1 through 1.1.1v, 3.0.0 through 3.0.10 or 3.1.0 through 3.1.2 and is prone to a denial of service vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to properly handle issues in POLY1305 MAC (message authentication code). On successful exploitation, if in an application that uses the OpenSSL library an attacker can influence whether the POLY1305 MAC algorithm is used, the application state might be corrupted with various application dependent consequences.
