The host is installed with VMware Workstation 15.x through 15.5.6, VMware Player 15.x through 15.5.6 or VMware Horizon Client before 5.4.4 and is prone to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle an issue in EMR STRETCHDIBITS parser. Successful exploitation may allow attackers with normal access to a virtual machine to exploit this issue to create a partial denial-of-service condition or to leak memory from TPView process running on the system where Workstation or Horizon Client for Windows is installed.
