Use-after-free vulnerability in the DOM implementation in Blink in Google Chrome - CVE-2015-1209 (deb)ID: oval:org.secpod.oval:def:23607 | Date: (C)2015-02-23 (M)2023-11-16 |
Class: VULNERABILITY | Family: unix |
The host is installed with Google Chrome before 40.0.2214.111 and is prone to an use-after-free vulnerability. A flaw is present in the VisibleSelection::nonBoundaryShadowTreeRootNode function in core/editing/VisibleSelection.cpp in the DOM implementation in Blink, as used in Google Chrome, which does not properly handle crafted JavaScript code that triggers improper handling of a shadow-root anchor. Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact.
