The host is installed with Apache CouchDB before 1.7.0 or 2.x before 2.1.1 and is prone to a remote code execution vulnerability. A flaw is present in the application, which fails to handle an issue in configuration options that include paths for operating system-level binaries. Successful exploitation could allow attackers to execute arbitrary shell commands as the CouchDB user, including downloading and executing scripts from the public internet.
